Manning to Serve as Co-Chair of House Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism

Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Kathy Manning (NC-06) announced that she has been selected to serve as a Co-chair of the Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism in the House of Representatives.

Manning joins Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), Marc Veasey (D-TX), Kay Granger (R-TX), Randy Weber (R-TX), Ted Lieu (D-CA), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) and Grace Meng (D-NY) as Co-chairs of the Task Force. Rep. Ted Deutch (D-FL), the founding co-chair of the Task Force, is set to retire from Congress at the end of the month.

“The rise in antisemitism is a grave threat to Jewish communities worldwide and to the wellbeing of our society. I am proud to join my colleagues, Democrats and Republicans alike, in working together to confront this threat and stop the spread of this dangerous hate in every way,” said Congresswoman Kathy Manning. “I am also deeply grateful to Congressman Ted Deutch for his incredible leadership in the fight against antisemitism as founding co-Chair of this critical bipartisan Task Force.”

About the Task Force:

The Task Force was reinstated in the 114th Congress with over 100 members. To combat antisemitism, the Task Force works to ensure that Congress plays a vital role in combating antisemitism worldwide. The Task Force serves as a forum to educate Members on this distinct form of discrimination, engage with the Administration, foreign leaders, and civil society organizations to confront antisemitism, promote Holocaust remembrance, and work towards innovative approaches to control intolerance. 

The members work closely with the Senate Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism co-chaired by Senators Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and James Lankford (R-OK).
